There are nearly 20 concertos for 2 violins in his personal collection now found in Turin. A characteristic of these double concertos is their highly virtuosic solo parts – which makes one wonder if he wrote them for himself and one of his talented students at La Pietà. They are marked by their originality, inventiveness, lively imagination and the variety of their solo passages.
