This cd is part of a group of 5 recordings, which represent all of the Vivaldi sonatas and concertos scored for one or more solo instruments and basso continuo found in the Foà-Giordano archives in Turin’s Biblioteca Nazionale. These works are all intended for a small formation, as opposed to the larger orchestras called for in his concertos and other works.
