It was used chiefly in the baroque period. Vivaldi wrote six concertos for this instrument, of which four are found in the Fo\u00e0-Giordano collection in Turin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Concerti per archi have no soloist but are simply what we today call \u2018string concertos\u2019.
